The Hong Kong, China Sports Association of the Deaf (HKCSAD) is a non-profit organization and the sole representative for Hong Kong, China in international deaf sports competitions. It is dedicated to supporting deaf and hearing-impaired athletes by offering extensive training programs and organizing participation in overseas deaf sports events.
Job Duties:
The Sports Executive is required to assist the Executive Committee and the Director to:
- Report to the Executive Committee and direct supervisor.
- Managing any assigned responsibilities of the Association, including but not limited to organizing and executing events approved by the Executive Committee and supervising clerical staff.
- Preparing annual activity plans and regular reports on income and expenditure to the Executive Committee.
- Promote the development of the sports discipline and arrange media publicity.
- Liaising with relevant government departments, local and overseas organizations for business development.
- Attending regular meetings and provide administrative support.
- Ensure tidy and orderly upkeeping of all the HKCSAD’s records and publications.
- Ensure timely reporting and conscientious compliance with terms of the LCSD Subvention Agreement.
- Coordinate with overseas and local Sports Federations for arranging competitions.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.
Requirements:
- An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution / a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent.
- Language requirements of both Chinese and English: Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE): Level 3 or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE): Grade D or Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE): Grade E or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal skill.
- Time management and organization skills to plan and execute both large and small projects and initiatives.
- Being able to speak fluent Cantonese, good command of written English and Chinese.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Minimum four years of experience in administration and/or event organizing.
Remarks:
- This post is subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
- The appointee shall be required to work on irregular hours or other locations if needed, i.e., he/she may be required to work on public holidays, outdoors or abroad.
